Emma Watson hits back at critics over Vanity Fair Photoshoot
Emma Watson’s photoshoot for Vanity Fair has created lot of controversy. Critics are questioning her feminist views after she posed partially topless for the Vanity Fair photoshoot. After observing a lot of chaos over the shoot, the 26- old – year actress finally decided to hit back at critics.
According to a report, Beauty and the Beast actress, addressed the controversy in her recent interview and said, “It reveals to me how many misconceptions and what a misunderstanding there is about feminism.”
The U.N Goodwill ambassador further added, “I am quietly stunned after observing a fundamental and complete misunderstanding of what feminism is.” According to Emma, “Feminism is about equality and it’s about choice. It’s not a stick to with which to other women.”
Emma, 26, believes that there a lot of people across the globe who are confused and most of them don’t know the real meaning of being a feminist. Notably, all this controversy erupted after she posed partially topless for the photoshoot of Vanity Fair. The picture was shot by Tim Walker.
Emma took to twitter and wrote, “Feminism, feminism…….gender wage gap …. Why oh why I am not taken seriously.”
Watson also revealed that she was slightly” taken aback” by the shot itself, but she added, overall she had a good time while shooting. She was pleased with how the photoshoot turned out.

The actress will be next seen in Beauty and the Beast which is slated to release on March 17, 2017. The trailer has already garnered a lot of love from the audience. Notably, the film initially premiered on February 23, 2017, in London and Emma will be seen playing the character of Belle (a young woman who is taken to prison by a beast) in the film.
