Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, the Egyptian President will begin his three-day official visit to India, today during which he would be expected to hold talks with the top Indian leadership, which would include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on key various issues including Terrorism and deepening economic engagement.
The Egyptian President this visit to New Delhi is on the invitation of his Indian counterpart Pranab Mukherjee.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had also earlier informed that the al-Sisi will be accompanied by a high-level delegation which would comprise of ministers, officials and business leaders.

During the visit, the Egyptian President’ will be meeting Prime Minister Modi, Vice President Hamid Ansari and also business leaders from India and Egypt.
India and Egypt have always shared excellent relations marked by some strong, traditional and civilizational ties that further contribute towards peace and development in the world.
Both nations also share a strong economic relationship as India is the Egypt’s sixth largest trading partner and there has always been an active cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
