A strong earthquake hit Tajikistan with 7.2 magnitude on Monday afternoon with tremors being felt in North India also.
The tremors were felt in Delhi along with Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. At the same time Pakistan and Afghanistan also felt minor tremors. The epicenter was Tajikistan.
There are no reports of casualties and destruction. As per the reports, people evacuated their homes and offices immediately after they felt the tremors.
According to experts, the earthquake occurs in India and Pakistan due to the convergence between the South Asia and Eurasia plates.
