According to a report, the pilot testing of Lifi that is a replacement for wifi can send data at upto 1GBps. That is almost 100 times faster than the wifi and of course unbelievable too.
So, what exactly Lifi is? Well, it is a technology that uses light to beam information via air. It was first discovered in year 2011 by Professor Harald. Though, it cannot completely replace wifi but it can create more efficient networks.
The report further added that technology could be rolled out for common people in next three to four years.
