World’s AIDS day is celebrated every year on December 1st. The day is a way to demonstrate compassion to the people, who are living with the disease and commemorate for the ones, who lost their lives battling with the deadly disease.
This is the 28th edition of the celebration it was first observed in year 1988. The theme of 2015 is getting it to zero by year 2030. The federal theme is the time to act is now.
Well, there are some facts that one should know about AIDS and it’s high time that we should act responsibly and sensibly towards the affected generation.
- It can only be transmitted through unprotected sex, baby through the mother, contaminated blood or syringe not by shaking hands. The best way is to use condoms and avoid old syringes.
- ART (antiretroviral) therapy prevents HIV virus from getting multiplied.
- It breaks down the immunity system of a person but early detection can help a person to live longer.
