Weapon can prove a game changer
Acquiring this weapon can prove game changer in South Asia. Neither China nor Pakistan has the weapons of same class. Notably the first Rafale will be delivered 18 months after signing the final contract. Also there is one offset clause, according to which France will invest 30 percent of the 7.8 billion Euros in India’s military aeronautics –related research and 20 percent into local production of Rafale Production.
For Indian Air Force the deal will be like both bitter and sweet. On the one hand, they will be getting two Squadrons, on the other hand, the original need was for atleast 126 jets. Well, these fighters can really prove game changer for our Defence sector and it is one of the biggest achievements of Modi’s government since it has come into the power in 2014.
