Curfew was re-imposed in various parts of Kashmir following the fresh violence in 10 districts on Friday, which had left more than 70 injured.
“In 35 incidents, miscreants have assembled on the roads and also pelted stones on police and security force deployments,” said the spokesman. No prayers had been allowed in many mosques, which includes Jamia Masjid.
Protesters attacked a police station in Hajin, also an Army Goodwill school in Bandipora and set ablaze a Vocational Training Centre in Sopore.
Meanwhile, the separatist leaders, which includes Hurriyat chairman Syed Ali Geelani, and the prominent traders’ bodies on Friday announced their boycott from the all-party delegation, scheduled to visit the restive Kashmir Valley on Sunday.
