Chester Bennington, Bandmate Of Linkin Park Commits Suicide

Bennington hanged himself at his home in Palos Verdes on Thursday

Chester Bennington, 41, was found dead in his apartment in Palos Verdes. He was a bandmate and frontman of Linkin Park. Bennington had performed many tours alongside Linkin Park as a frontman. He was found by an employee. A Los Angeles County coroner is investigating the reason behind the death. Law enforcement officials said that he hanged himself in the bedroom while he was alone. His housekeeper first saw the dead body.

The singer committed Suicide

Bennington had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. He was married to his wife Talinda and he has six children from his two marriages. His family was out of town while this incident occurred. He was deeply affected by his friend Chris Cornell’s death. His friends confirmed that he was ‘never the same’ after Cornell’s death. Chris also committed suicide in May. Both of the singers were very close to each other.

Chester along with Brad Delson who is the guitarist of Linkin Park performed at Cornell’s funeral for the crowd of mourners. Linkin Park was on tour when the news broke. Days before his shock death, his wife had shared touching snippets from their family on social media.

Bennington had earlier opened up about being sexually abused as a seven – year- old kid. He was molested by an older male friend. He went to rehab for drug and alcohol abuse. He was a sober man from few years.

Tributes have been coming in from fellow musicians and fans from all over the world. Many starts and musicians tweeted in despair after listening about his shock death.
