Cricket Maniacs get ready for an enthralling match on June 4!
So it’s time again, the cricket lovers will go crazy on June 4, as Indian and Pakistan will lock horns at Birmingham in the ICC Champions Trophy. Well, the arch- rivals are all set to renew what is possibly the greatest sporting rivalry on the planet.
Men in Blue won the title of Champions Trophy in 2013 and if history is any guide, India Cricket Team would be really confident about the tournament. Though India holds a better record than Pakistan in 50 – 20 versions of ICC’s World Cup Competitions but the record in Champions Trophy is better for Pakistan.
Well, Indian Captain Virat Kohli seemed confident about the match but Pakistan coach Waqar Younis has said, “Players will feel the pressure irrespective of what they say in media.” Notably, the arch – rivals will meet for the first time since their 2015 encounter at Adelaide Oval.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Indian team is upset as the team was unhappy with the practice facilities at Edgbaston.
Notably, Thursday was the day of practice for the team India in Birmingham and they are allocated the practice arena adjacent to main stadium.
According to report, it was learnt that Umesh Yadav, Mohammad Shami and Hardik Pandya, all of whom have a 30 – yard run up wasn’t able to bowl properly. The captain and the coach sent manager to sort out the issue.
The fact Australia and New Zealand would be playing a game on Friday at Edgbaston so that could be a reason behind it.
However, Pakistan is there since last week, so they have done their share of practice. We hope the issue gets resolved soon because this Sunday we all expecting a blockbuster.
