Stating that India needs to a find better way to manage the people living close by the border, the general secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ram Madhav on Wednesday said that the Modi-led BJP government is taking enough steps to address the issues concerning border management.
“We ought to find better ways to manage the people living close to the borders, but for that coordination is also required. PM Narendra Modi’s government is taking enough steps to address the issues. Jammu and Kashmir is and will always be an integral part of the Indian territory, so what political solution can be applied,” asked Madhav, while addressing the conference on ‘Homeland Security 2016’, in Delhi.
Madhav said in order to find solutions for all these border related problems, a long-term security doctrine has to be developed.
“A large amount of different technologies are required to manage the border areas. Technologies today play a very important role. It will be a major challenge. We will have to open the borders when it comes to commerce and trade. But in terms of security, it needs to be sealed. We are amending laws,” he added.
