Here is a list of top 10 movies in which Amitabh Bachchan has done ultimate work and made himself history:-
Satte Pe Satta (1982):- This movie is an adaptation of ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ and is perhaps Amitabh’s best comedy film ever. The film is a laugh riot and all the characters were very adorable and funny. Big B played a double role in this movie and was praised for his acting.
Agneepath (1990):- This movie is the example of how great an actor Amitabh Bachchan is by observing the fact that two of the major superstars today, Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan have successfully replayed him in the re-makes of two of his greatest movies. The 1990-film Agneepath was one such film. Amitabh Bachchan won a National Award for his performance as a morally upright underworld don. Fans loved his dialogue delivery in this film.
Naseeb (1981):- This movie had an interesting plot of love, friendship, sacrifice, betrayal and, above all, destiny. With a tightly-knit story backed by powerful performances, this film is one of Big B’s best one. Watch this song of the movie “John Johnny Janardan” and you’ll get to see some of the greatest actors of that era in one song, something which was replicated by Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om.
Coolie (1983):-Bachchan played a role of young, confident and dashing coolie in this movie, which had a typical pot-boiler plot with too much family drama and action. This movie will not only be remembered for his acting skills, but also for the deadly accident that occurred on the sets of the film.
Don (1978):-Actually, Amitabh Bachchan was the original Don of Bollywood. His chemistry with Zeenat was appreciated and it was a blockbuster
Zanjeer (1973): It was a turning point of Big B’s life. This film gave birth to Amitabh Bachchan’s angry-young-man image which his fans liked so much. Zanjeer is considered Big B’s original debut film, especially because all the super hits that he delivered solo were made after this. Even the superstar of south movie Ram Charan has made its remake with Priyanka Chopda.
Sholay (1975):- Sholay is a landmark and incredible movie in Indian cinema. It was one of the first cult epics that Bollywood saw. And it was so famous that back then the movie would be run on AIR every evening because every dialogue from the movie loved it and remembered by the people of that generation by heart. Amitabh Bachchan played Jai – one-half of the conmen buddies Jai and Veeru – who won a lot of hearts by his calm and cool depiction of the character. No one else could have played this role ‘Jai’ better than Bachchan.
Deewar(1975):- Undoubtedly, Sholay was an epic film of Bollywood but Deewar is the film which elevated Amitabh Bachchan to the status of a megastar. If Zanjeer had created his angry-young-man image, then Deewar polished it. Some of the finest dialogues in Bollywood are in this film and have been delivered in the baritone voice of Big B. The epic confrontation scene between Big B’s character Vijay and Shashi Kapoor’s character Ravi is perhaps the best ever in Indian cinema. “Mere pasa bangla hai, gaadi hai, paisa hai, tere pass kya hai?”, asks an arrogant Vijay to his brother Ravi, and back comes the legendary reply: “Mere pass maa hai”. Although Vijay has been shown on the wrong side of law, we sympathies the character. This is the power of Big B’s acting.
Black (2005):- Black movie ranked as one of the ten best movies of 2005 from across the globe by Time magazine (Europe), Black is the tale of a deaf and blind girl, played by Rani Mukherjee, and her teacher, played by Amitabh Bachchan. The film fetched Big B his second National Award for best actor. It is only the fifth film to have won in all the major categories of the Filmfare Award.
Baghban (2003):- Baghban The movie tells the story of Raj Malhotra (Amitabh Bachchan), his wife Pooja (Hema Malini), and their four sons. This is the movie of the parents’ sacrifice and how their children’s misbehave with them. However, when Raj Malhotra retires, none of his children want to be burdened of taking care of their parents and the responsibility. Strangely, it is the adopted son who proves to be the most kind hearted of them all.
