Time to remember some brilliant characters of Hema Malini
Birthday Bash: ‘Dream girl’, Hema Malini turns a year older Some remember her as ‘Basanti’ of Sholay, some as ‘Seeta’ of Seeta aur Geeta but to most of them she is our ‘Dream Girl’. Age doesn’t make a difference when it comes to her timeless beauty.
Her fans go gaga over her just one smile. Many actresses came and went but nobody could contest the charms of this amazing personality. She is not just a talented actress but also an amazing dancer, who has made a mark on Bollywood through her sheer hard work. She made her acting debut with the movie, ‘Sapno ke Saudagar’ in 1968 and since then there was no turning back for her.
She is much known for playing versatile roles. She has appeared in more than 150 movies most of which have raised the bar for other actors. Hema is the proud title-holder of Padma Shri Award and many others.
Apart from being an accomplished actress, she is also an active Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) member. Initially, she was nominated by the then President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam for Rajya Sabha in 2003 before officially joining BJP in 2004. Now, she is the proud MP of BJP after winning from Mathura Lok Sabha seat during 2014 elections.
Not just her professional or social but her personal life is also not less interesting. During the peak of her career, Jeetendra and Sanjeev Kumar both pursued her whom both she rejected before falling in love with the already married and 13 year older Dharmendra.
Apparently, they fell in love during filming ‘Sholay’ and then got married ditching all the bumps in their way.
