Holi is just around the corner and trust me, this Holi weekend is going to be full of fun, as Badri and his Dulhania will take you on an amusing love journey. After creating a lot of thrill with the songs and trailer, Badrinath Ki Dulhania has today finally hit the theatres. Badrinath ki Dulhania review is here. Read more to know what all movie will offer you.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, this KJo’s rom com is not just about romance, peppy numbers and some intense dialogues. The film has a powerful message and we all can relate to it. Badri and Vaidehi aka Varun and Alia are at their best. The duo made their debut in Student of the Year (2012) and since then, they both have come a long way. Their flawless chemistry will keep you engrossed in the film and dance numbers will persuade you to whistle in the theatre.
Set in Jhansi, the film also features Sahil Vaid, Gauhar Khan, Aakansha Singh and Shweta Basu Prasad. The story of the film revolves around Badri and Vaidehi. Badri is from Jhansi and is looking for a suitable bride. He meets Vaidehi, a feisty lass (naam hi dum hai) at a wedding. He immediately gets impressed by her witty attitude and decide to woo her.
“Woo” here for him means sending a marriage proposal to Vaidehi through his buddy. The role of his buddy is played by Sahil Ved, who runs a website called chutkimaishaad.com in the film, has done a wonderful job. His chemistry with Varun is as enjoyable as Varun’s chemistry with Alia.
Varun’s perfect comic timings and Alia’s UP accent is enough to steal your heart. In the trailer we have seen Alia asking formula of Simple interest and compound interest from Varun, but the film has a lot more to offer. It’s not just about simple and Compound interest.
Although stalking has been romanticized in the film, but Shashank Khaitan’s witty take on gender stereotypes definitely deserves an applause.
Alia, who plays Vaidehi in the film wants much more than a pretty lehenga, she demands respect and equality. The first half of the film is full of fun and madness but the second half will give you some serious life goals. And to find out what all are they? You need to book a ticket of Badrinath Ki Dulhania. So, hurry up!
