Ayodhya Case Main Litigant, Mahant Bhaskar passes away
Priest of Nirmohi Akhada passed away at the age of 89. Mahant Bhaskar Das was the chief litigant in the Ram Janm Bhoomi and Babri Masjid case
In 2016, Hashim Ansari, who was the oldest litigant in the case died at the age of 95. Though both Ansari and Bhaskar Das were rivals, but they shared cordial relationship with each other to maintain the status of litigants from Hindu – Muslim side respectively.
The case of Ramjanam Bhoomi was filed by the Nirmohi Akhada priest back in 1959. Apart from this, Bhaskar Das was also the Mahant of the Naka Hanuman Gadhi in Faizabad district, Uttar Pradesh.
Notably, Bhaskar Das was born in Ranideh village in Gorakhpur in 1929 and his father name was Bhagwat Pathak. He had joined the Hanuman Gadhi when he was 16 only and performing services for them and interested in his religious studies.
Bhaskar Das was ill from past several days and was admitted to a private medical facility on September12 and was having problem in breathing where later he suffered from a brain stroke. According to reports, the seer will be burn up at Tulsi Ghat in Ayodhya.
He has such respect among people in Ayodhya that people of Hanumangarhi in Ayodhya have closed their shops for a day in respect of their Mahant.
Mahant Das was the main litigant in Ayodhya case, now everything might come to an end with the death of this last litigant.
