Assam Government has decided to introduce food and security bill today for the public.
Chief Minister of Assam, Tarun Gogoi will start the programme at Goroimari in Kamrup District of Assam.
Earlier, the Assam Chief Minister has announced that total of 2.40 crores people will be benefited with the start of the Food and security Bill scheme of the government.
The government said that 60 percent population from the towns and 84 percent of the people living in villages will be benefited.
According to the act, every entitled person will get five kilograms of rice at the cost of three rupees per kilogram in every month from the government.
