ANOTHER TREBLE FOR BARCELONA?
They come in a pack. They are an army of werewolves on the field; they pounce upon the opposition and nail their attacks even before it heads towards their half. They have numerous accolades to their bag of victories and the most recent ones being Spanish league titles La Liga & Copa del Ray, the former being their 23rd title and the latter being a record 27th one. They are the Football Club Barcelona (FCB).

A treble in football happens when a club wins two major trophies of their home country and one continental cup. FCB had won a treble once in 2009, but if they do it this season, they’ll become the only club to have won the treble twice. With the two Spanish league titles in their belly, FCB are all geared up for the third title also, the UEFA Champions League, which will be held on 6th June in Berlin.
Players that Make the Club:
Just out of teens, the man guarding their goal is Andre ter Stegen, who was ranked as the third best goalkeeper in world rankings and had a clean sheet for a long time.

Their defense has the likes of Jordi Alba, a lightning fast shield, synonymous to a car engine that can run for days. Javier Mascherano, the main center back for both his home nation and the club remains active in all parts of the field. Next comes Gerard Pique. This man is with the club since ages and stands as a tall guard protecting their area. Then is Dani Alves, who has justified both a defender and an attacker’s role.

The crucial part of the club is its mid fielders. In his full form, Andres Iniesta makes one experience magic, when they watch the legend playing. He is the football doppelganger of the cricketing world ‘Mr. Dependable’, Rahul Dravid. Xavi Hernandez is another mid fielder having one of the best peripheral visions to pass the ball exactly where it should be. Ivan Rakitic, a young Croatian player, recently moved to the club but has contributed to the club’s success no less.

MSN: They are Messi, Suarez and Neymar. This season, the terrific trio scored more than 110 goals. Neymar Jr., the Brazilian thunder, has the most amazing fotsal (skills) performance on the turf which any other player fails to achieve. Luis Suarez, famously known as El Pistelaro, the man who can’t stay without scoring, kicks the ball so hard, it races like a bullet. And the man, who has taken the sport by storm, is compared with the likes of Maradona, has four Ballon d’ors to his name and is the pillar of this club. He’s none other than Lionel Andres Messi. Simply inexplicable, scoring goals in every match has become more of a ritual for him.

This year, their opposition is FC Juventus, who have entered the finals after almost 12 years. Their hunger for the cup was seen during their recent performance against the defending champions Real Madrid, where they thrashed the latter in both matches, home and away.
Even though, the underdogs have only a couple of key players, they are sure to give a tough competition to the Spanish club.
But FCB goes into the finals with a lot of conviction after winning the two league titles. So, let’s hope, they grab a treble this season, making it the most memorable and spectacular one, for their supporters and themselves.
