Anil Kumble will remain Indian Cricket Coach till next world cup: Reports

The illusions on the next Indian coach are going to end very soon. According to the latest reports from London, current Indian coach Anil Kumble will remain the coach of Indian cricket team till next world cup. Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman’s three-member cricket advisor committee (CAC) decided that Kumble should remain India’s coach. Kumble’s one year contract is ending after the ICC Champions Trophy.

The hunt for coach increased

According to reports, Kumble is appointed as India’s coach till the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup. The Cricket advising Committee (CAC) of BCCI held a meeting on Friday which discussed the search of new Indian team coach. After this meeting, the CAC announced its decision officially and told that Kumble will be continuing. For the post of new Indian coach, along with Virendra Sehwag, six others have also applied for the post. In the end, the three-member committee decided that there is no need of a new Indian coach before the next World cup and Kumble should remain on his post till World Cup 2019.

Latest reports

According to the reports, BCCI was supposed to announce the name of new Indian coach before the end of Champions Trophy. Notably, Kumble, who was given direct entry, had applied for the post of Indian coach again. Another report came which told that before going to England, skipper Virat Kohli proposed to include Ravi Shastri in the board meeting of CAC.

There were many reports that Kohli and Kumble are not sharing warm relations. But now, BCCI has put full stop to all types of rumours and has clearly stated that Anil Kumble will remain the coach.
