On Wednesday the Ahmedabad Crime Branch arrested Imran Batuk, who is said to be one of the accused in the 2002 Godhra train burning case.
Batuk was involved in the Illegal sand mining in Malegaon.
Earlier, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) had arrested Farooq Bhana the main accused in the case on May 18.
When the incident took place, Bhana escaped to Mumbai to evade arrest.
Bhana was earler a corporator but since 2002 he turned into a property dealer.
Last year ATS had arrested Kasam Ibrahim Bhamedi, he was the one among those ,who broke the window panes and threw stones on the S6 coach of Sabarmati Express before it was set on fire.
Kadir Abdul Gani and Hussain Suleman Mohan, the two accused were also arrested last year.
On February 27, 2002 a mob attacked the Sabarmati Express and later on set it on fire, killing almost 60 passengers.
The attacks later on gave rise to the Gujarat riots in which almost 1000 people lost their lives.
