Administration has become a tool in the hands of the BJP
PDP-BJP government is promoting RSS: Devender Singh Rana
Administration has become a tool in the hands of the BJP:- Devender Singh Rana, the National Conference provincial president on Wednesday has lashed out at the PDP-BJP government in the Jammu and Kashmir for further “promoting the RSS” in the sensitive region of Chenab Valley by “permitting lathi-wielding swayamsevaks to march on the streets of Doda”.
Rana has also alleged that the administration had now become “a tool in the hands of the BJP”, which was “furthering the agenda of the RSS openly and also brazenly”.
The permission for the march by the lathi-wielding swayamsevaks in Khaki shorts was bereft of “administrative wisdom” and then this kind of a “provocation” could have various and serious ramifications across the region, he warned.
The NC leader has hoped that the BJP government would understand its “folly” and take some appropriate corrective measures so that peace and tranquility is maintained during this festive season.
BJP has responsibilities to maintain peace: Rana
Rana reminded that the BJP has responsibilities towards further maintaining peace, being partners in the state government, and has also advised its ministers to get rid of the “opposition syndrome” and act as per the tenets of the Constitution.
“While the BJP party has a proven record of being a perfect agitationist, they are yet to make a mark as a responsible administrator,” he said, adding that with the support of the PDP, the two were out to “vitiate the atmosphere to further divert the attention of the people from the mess created in the state”.
The NC leader has further appealed to the people of Chenab Valley in general, and the NC cadre in particular, in order to “see through” the PDP-BJP game plan and foil the “attempts of dividing the society” in order to maintain the “time-tested” unity.
He said his party had been pleading all along to the political class to rise above party politics when it came to maintaining the tranquility and sustaining peace.
“In fact, the entire political discourse of the National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and working president Omar Abdullah has been to strengthen, consolidate and also sustain regional amity and religious harmony in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh,” Rana said.
