R.I.P Carrie Fisher: Actress Carrie Fisher of Star Wars passes away at 60
Actress Carrie Fisher, well known for her character Princess Leia Carrie died at the age of 60.
Four days after she suffered a cardiac arrest on a flight. This news came as a shock for all her fans and loved ones. Billie Lourd, daughter of late actress Carrie Fisher informed that veteran actress passed away on Tuesday morning after being taken ill traveling from London to Los Angeles.
Fisher was survived by her mother, the veteran Hollywood star Debbie Reynolds who has been by her side along with her close family over Christmas. Earlier Fisher fans were hoping that she will soon from her illness.

On her saddest demise, family spokesperson for the family was quoted saying that “It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning. She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly. Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”
Fisher’s mother further said that “Thank you to everyone who has embraced the gifts and talents of my beloved and amazing daughter. I am grateful for your thoughts and prayers that are now guiding her to her next stop. Love Carrie’s Mother”.
Carrie Fisher has been hospitalized since December 23 when she fell ill on a United Airlines Flight.
Co-stars to express their deep grief on her demise
As far as news of Carrie Fisher death was announced, her co-stars to start expressing their deep grief on her demise. Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker, her on-screen brother, said he was devastated, adding there were “no words”.
Harrison Ford said she was “one-of-a-kind” who lived her life “bravely”, adding: “My thoughts are with her daughter Billie, her mother Debbie, her brother Todd and her many friends.
We will all miss her.” Apart from actors creator of Star Wars, George Lucas, said: “Carrie and I have been friends most of our adult lives. She was extremely smart; a talented actress, writer & comedienne with a very colorful personality that everyone loved.
In Star Wars she was our great and powerful princess – feisty, wise and full of hope in a role that was more difficult than most people might think. My heart and prayers are with Billie, Debbie & all Carrie’s family, friends & fans. She will be missed by all. George Lucas.” English actress Daisy Ridley, who played Rey in The Force Awakens, says she was “devastated at this monumental loss”.
