On Wednesday, the international cricket council named South African batsman, AB de Villiers ODI cricketer of the year 2015 in its award ceremony.
Villiers, the most dangerous batsman in world cricket has been exceptional with the willow throughout the year. De Villiers , the big hitter of ball has scored with strike rate of over 130, work an average of 70 overs.
South Africa managed to won their first ever world cup knockout game under his captaincy, when they defeated Sri-Lanka in quarter final match.
“It is an honor to be named as the ICC ODI cricketer of the year for 2015. It’s certainly been a memorable year work many highlights but a lot of disappointment as well.”De Villiers said.
He further said, “If I was to look back the century, I scored against West Indies at the Wanderers well probably go down as the most memorable knocks of the year. In saying that, centuries count for northing if team isn’t winning, so hopefully in the future I can contribute to many more protease wins.”
