The much- awaited IPL player auction 2017 will take place in Bengaluru on Monday, and some big names from the world of cricket are all set to go under the hammer. Notably, there are many established stars as well as some new faces that will draw the attention of IPL teams. A lot of English stars would be present in the auction and they will be surely be the hot property following their performances in recent matches. Interestingly, BCCI for the first time has included five Afghanistan Cricketers including Mohammad Shahazad.

Here are five things you need to know about the IPL Player Auction 2017
BCCI has included five Afghanistan cricketers for the first time in the player auction.
IPL season 10 will begin from 5th of April and will continue till 21st May 2017. Total 60 matches would be played including the final match. 8 teams will compete for the IPL Trophy.
According to reports, 351 players will be auctioned this year. Notably, all the teams participating for IPL 2017 season started with 66 crores but the retaining players they have already spent some part of it.
The 1st qualifier round, an eliminator round would be on 16th and 17th May respectively, and it would be hosted by M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
