42-year-old guy sentenced to 133 years in prison for rape of young daughters
A 42-year-old father was sentenced to 133 years of hard labour by the Manjeri special fast-track Pocso court in Malappuram on Tuesday for the rape and sexual harassment of his two children, who are 11 and 13 years old. The sentence will be delivered in parallel.
Additionally, special judge Ashraf A. M. fined the guilty Rs. 8.8 lakh and ordered that the money be given to the survivors.

Additionally, the court ordered the District Legal Services Authority to pay survivors under the victim compensation program. In the initial instance of the 13-year-old daughter being repeatedly raped at his home between November 2021 and March 2022, the guy was given a 123-year jail term and a fine of Rs 7 lakh by the court. In addition to three years of hard imprisonment under Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, he was further sentenced to 40 years in jail each under IPC Section 376(3), Section 5 (l) read with 6 (1) of the Pocso Act (aggravated penetrative sexual assault), and Section 5 (n) read with 6 (1) of the Pocso Act.
In the second instance of harassing an 11-year-old daughter sexually, the court found him guilty and fined him Rs 1.8 lakh in addition to 10 years of hard labour. The crime happened on March 26, 2022, in his residence. When the accused asked his younger daughter for sexual favors and she told her mother about it, the horrifying episode came to light.
When the older daughter disclosed that her father had repeatedly sexually abused her while the mother was away, the mother became suspicious and checked with her. Additionally, she informed her that if she notified anybody about it, the father had threatened to sexually abuse her sister as well.
After the mother told a panchayat member in the area, Childline stepped in and recorded the girls’ statement. After filing a report, Edavanna police took the man into custody. Investigating officer was Inspector Abdul Majeed.

A Somasundaran, the special public prosecutor, announced that the prosecution’s plea to hold a jail trial had been granted by the court. “The previous year and a half had been spent with the accused in court custody. He had made multiple attempts to obtain bail, but we argued that doing so would put his wife and daughters in danger.

He stated that his wife, survivors, and father were all against giving him bail. According to Somasundaran, the prison sentence for the guilty party would be at least 43 years. He has been sent to the central jail in Tavanur.
